Today the renewal of the double degree PhD agreement (Electrical Engineering) between the universities of Chile and Nottingham (United Kingdom) was signed. The renovation is for five years and is open to all academics and students in all areas of research in the electrical engineering departments of both institutions.

Students successfully completing the programme will receive two certificates issued separately by both institutions in line with usual university procedures issuing dual awards.

In the case of control of Microgrids, there is a close working relationship with the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) research group of the University of Nottingham, especially with the laboratory headed by Dr. Mark Summer.
